Captain Andrew Meyer of Tailwalker Fishing Charters fishing out of Crystal River & Yankeetown, Florida. He has a very comfortable 25' Fat Cat Custom boat which easily fishes four. He has 30 years of fishing experience in the areas around Crystal River and right now is targeting snook, redfish and trout in shore and will go nearshore for sheepshead and hogfish. He also has special trips for tarpon when they are available.

Mar. 3rd meeting -Fishing trips were donated by Gulfstar Charters and Capt. Paul Forsberg - a 44 hour trip into the Gulf worth $850.00. Plus also two 12 hour trips worth $125.00 each. The winners were drawn the very same night. The club pledged to donate the raffle proceeds (100%) to Honor Flight in the Villages. Incredibly, we raised $1200.00. Thank you to Gulfstar and our member guests.

Welcome to The Villages Deep Sea Fishing Club!
The Fishing Club meets on the first Monday of the month at the Everglades Rec Center. The doors will open at 6:00 PM and the meeting will start at 6:30 PM. If you wish to become a member please come to the meeting to sign up, make sure you have your Villagers ID handy. You can also download your membership form, print it off, and bring it with you to the club meeting to save time. Download new member application form. Fishing Trips After you have signed up, you may visit tables manned by the trip coordinators and set up around the room that are used to register and collect money for fishing trips on charters and party boats. Any questions you may have can be answered by the trip coordinators at these sign up tables. It's that time of year! - March & April is a great time to catch some delicious and fun fish. Snook opens Mar. 1.
Near shore fishing for snook, redfish, trout, mangrove snapper, sheepshead and black drum. Offshore in Gulf for red snapper and Grouper when in season. Offshore fishing (Atlantic) for amberjack, vermillion snapper, triggerfish, hogfish and even some pelagics like Mahi, tuna, wahoo, etc.
