MEET THE CAPTAIN
Captain Katie Jo Davis learned her love for the water and fishing at a very young age. Growing up, she remembers taking naps in the fish box on her dads boat ever before she could even walk. It is no wonder that she spends nearly most of her life on the waters of the Gulf of Mexico.
With tenacity and persistence, Captain Katie Jo consistently learns the best fishing spots and breaks personal best records for herself and her clients.
After serving a few years in the United States military, it didn't take her long to realize how much she missed reeling in big fish to the boat. After traveling the world and completing her duty to her county, she decided to move back to Florida's Nature Coast and pursue her lifelong dream of being a Fishing Captain.
Her familiarity with Crystal River, Homosassa, Ozello and Yankeetown allows her to fish a diverse area targeting various species of fish along the west coast of Florida.
She is United States Coast Guard licensed & insured, great with kids, and she has built a name for herself in the fishing community. Federally permitted to legally keep reef fish in federal waters.
Captain Katie Jo has the perfect boat for fishing on the Nature Coast, a custom Young Gulfshore 22. Complete comfort for a group of up to 4 passengers. With a large casting area and comfortable seating, there is enough room for any sized group to enjoy the day fishing, scalloping and/or touring some of our most beautiful waters. A Bimini top is on the boat during the entire scalloping season.
