We fished! We caught fish! We ate... and ate... and ate! We didn't sleep! We helped each other! When the 4 days were up and the boat was making it's 6 hour run into port... We collapsed!
Below are some of the comments and pictures by club members who survived. I've categorized them by names of those who provided them.

I would like to Express my many thanks for making my nephew feel welcomed and especially for Ken for going through the steps to help me.
Joe was so thankful to everyone on making him happy.
Plus he’s not a bad fisherman
He also came soooo close to winning the pot by ½ pound.
Thanks to all and tight lines !!

Myself and Dave Easthon had an uneventful ride to Marco Island (even though I was driving!) We stopped and had lunch at Olive Garden - just right so as not to ruin our appetites for the coming meal. We arrived at 3:30 PM and drove around the Island as I had not been there for 20 years. Then we checked in without incident. Got all our gear loaded on one cart and headed for the boat. Unfortunately we were told that due to the full moon we were experiencing a negative tide and would be delayed about 2 hours. Well 2 hours turned into about 4 hours but we finally got under way around 9:45 PM.
Everyone was excited and sleeping was not easy during the 9 hour ride to first drop. I didn't sleep much at all - the bunks don't fit me well. When we arrived at first drop, everyone was very excited. When the Capt. said "drop 'em" - I dropped trow but quickly realized he meant drop your lines. It was a memory freeze back to college days.
From that time on... we fished hard, caught fish, ate well, didn't sleep, made new friends, helped each other and laughed a lot until the final 6 hour boat ride back to the marina - during which time we COLLAPSED!
Now after about 36 hours back, I am almost recovered. Today at lunch I had red snapper - pan fried in butter with only salt and pepper. It was fantastic and my wife ate more fish than I have ever seen. Tonight I am frying more red snapper in a beer batter in peanut oil. Pardon me, I'm going to have that right now. First I need to fix me a big, dirty martini. Drool, drool!

I would like to thank everyone involved in setting this trip up and all who were on board.
Once on board, everyone worked together, helped each other and looked out for each other. Any questions I had, from how to rig some tackle, the best way to hook and haul in, to the proper size of hooks... you name it and there were a number of people that helped. I would like to thank them all. I was your only female angler on board. That said, I would never hesitate to go out with the club again. I am looking forward to our next trip..
