Fishing Trips
The Club offers a variety of monthly salt water fishing charters on the East and West coast of Florida. Depending on the trip and conditions this can include trolling, bottom fishing in deep water, and casting on the flats of the Gulf and in the Atlantic Intercostal waters.
On occasions members get together for Pier Fishing on either side of Peninsula of Florida. On this site there is page that contains information on Pier fishing. Please click here.
Trips for current and upcoming months are listed on the website. If you can't make it to a meeting, you can call or email the coordinator of the trip and book it if there is an opening.
All trips must paid for in advance. You can pay at our monthly meetings or use one of the three drop points that are listed below. If you use a drop off point please do not drop-off cash.
Tips To Captains The usual amount members should tip Captains for trips is 20% of the cost of the trip.
Transportation for the Trips
Trips for the Thunder are provided with bus transportation, at a cost of $30 per person, if 20 or more members sign up for a trip on either one of them. If there are less than 20 anglers then carpooling will be used.
All other fishing trips mentioned above use car pools.
Note: Trips are paid for with cash or check. Please make checks out to D.S.F.C. The club does not accept credit cards and encourages members to bring the exact amount if paying in cash. One hundred dollar bills are not welcome unless they are the exact cost of a trip.

Thunder Trip Cancellation
If a fishing trip is cancelled members will be notified by its coordinator. You will have a choice of getting your money back or you can apply it toward a future fishing trip, if there is an opening.
If you cannot make a trip that you have signed up for, it is your responsibility to notify the trip coordinator. If the Club hires a bus for Thunder and you for any reason do not show up, you will forfeit your $25.00 bus fee.
All Other Fishing Trip Cancellations
The Club pays the Flats Captains in advance of a trip. When a member cancels or fails to show up, that member forfeits their money, unless they can get another member to take their place on that trip.
100% Raffle
The Club holds a raffle drawing at each meeting and at both Fish Fry Picnics. For every $50.00 collected, the Club raffle a ticket that covers the cost of one person going on the Pastime Princess or the Thunder. Bus fee is not included.
These tickets can be used as payment towards any other fishing trips chartered by the Club. The tickets come with an expiration date of 6 (six) months so please be sure to use them within that time frame, there are no extensions of expiration dates!
It is a Club policy that you may only win once at each meeting or picnic.
