Dave Easthon, Jeff Neuman and Tony Artino went out with Capt. Dennis Voyles out of Cedar Key on his airboat on Jan. 16, 2025. They had an absolutely GREAT day of fishing. They caught 50 plus redfish and 5 were huge and released after they had already put a limit of keepers on ice.
They also caught 6 black drum and one large trout. Tony is Dave's friend from Ohio - I'm sure he will be back for more.

On Jan.3, 2025, Six members of the Villages Deep Sea Fishing Club ventured out in the early morning hours to Ponce Inlet yesterday. Little did they know the incredible day of fishing that lie ahead. After a 3 hour ride to the fishing grounds, the members took a short time to get their Amberjack limit. The next leg of the trip took on trolling and oh my was it successful! At the end of the day there was a cooler full of fish including 2 huge Sailfish. Even though we caught 2 more undersized Sailfish that were returned, there were no regrets from these guys. The proof of a great day was the stories that were shared, the laughs, and the new friendships that were formed. It was a fabulous day! A sailfish kind of day!

Club member Charlie Pryde took the last trip (19-23 Dec) of the year on the American Patriot, which goes into dry dock for maintenance until late February. This was a 5-day limited load trip to deep drop on Pulley Ridge.
